"In the world, 650 million people with disabilities - about 10% of the world’s population- do not enjoy of the same opportunities that the general population does. They face many physical and social obstacles that impede their getting education, jobs, access to information, proper medical care and sanitation, hampering their integration into society and being accepted."
Hogar Manos Abiertas Foundation
We are a non -profit organization founded in 1991. Our goal is to promote, protect and guarantee the exercise of the rights for people with disabilities who have been abandoned.
Our beneficiaries are children, adolescents and adults including people who are blind, deaf, mute, and mobility impaired. We also serve those who require tracheotomies, oxygen and gastric tube feeding. Our population also faces many other health problems associated with their chronic state, physical and mental vulnerability.
This community of nuns is in charge of the foundation Hogar Manos Abiertas. Their mission to serve the poorest of the poor by creating for them a safe haven. Their commitment is Good News to brothers and sisters who knock upon the doors of their facilities who are in need of a dignified life.
JOIN US - THOSE WHO WANT TO FIGHT FOR BETTER WORLD - REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOR, OR RELIGION. WE ONLY NEED TO KNOW THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE.
